Vishwaroopam row - Quotes and Tweets!!

Ban on Vishwaroopam took to the social networking sites and media like a storm. Here's what these celebs had to say;

Kamal Haasan: I think Tamil Nadu wants me out. I will have to seek a secular state to stay in, from Kashmir to Kerala. If I cannot find in India, I will hopefully find another secular country to take me in. MF Hussain had to do it, Haasan will do it.

Rajinikanth: I request Muslim brethren to give up their demand to ban Vishwaroopam. Please discuss with Kamal how to make changes without affecting the storyline. Kamal's screening for Muslims before the theatrical release shows his love and regard for them.

Abhishek Bachchan: “Ok, I’m confused. So are we in the film industry even meant to bother getting our films censored? Or work according to their guidelines? Offended by a film or its contents? simple solution…don’t buy the ticket to see the film? Let the audience decide for themselves.”

Shah Rukh Khan: We have all gone through it. We all have faced it. I have faced similar issues in the past with his own films such as My Name Is Khan, Billu Barber and Om Shanti Om. The whole controversy is very unfortunate.

Salman Khan: Dekho yaar its a movie and there are only two kinds of movies good or bad. Hit and flop and the only people who decide are the ones who buy tickets. Am 100% gonna see it.

Nagarjuna: He is one of the best actors our country has produced. I don't think he will do something to affect communal harmony of our country

Siddharth: Taliban Tamil Nadu. Heartbreaking to see the greatest Tamil actor of all time talking about leaving Tamil Nadu, about bankruptcy and about unfair persecution.

Manish Tewari: Time-cinematographic act revisited to ensure implementational integrity (of) certification decisions, otherwise each state would be its own censor (board).  Go there insist that you wanna see it, there is a supreme court judgement after the film is censored no body can stop it."

Rahul Bose: I don't think there was anything objectionable in Vishwaroopam for it to be banned.

Sushil Kumar Shinde: We are a free society. There is freedom of expression. There is liberty for artists. We have a Constitution

Shruti Hassan: “I've had the privilege of being born into an artistic family and my father is one of my greatest inspirations as an artist.its so saddening for me to see this day as a daughter and an artist where someone isn't allowed to put out their work and isn't allowed the basic freedom and respect that should be granted to any artist.love you bapu ..we are with you.”

R.Madhavan: Vishwroobam is not just a film anymore. Its a symbol of what is right and Right should prevail over might or we are never going to be a Progressive peaceful Nation.I bleed for you Kamal Sir.

Karan Johar: “a zone of shame for a sham of a political scenario....Kamal Haasan needs not only our support but fraternity proactivity.....like NOW!!!”

Tanuj Garg: “Vishwaroopam has turned into a nation-wide revolution and rightly so. In this country, everyone has the right to offend, except the film industry!!!!!!”
